The early 60s found a big number of students attracted to the study and practice of law. Between 1960 and 1970 the number of lawyers in the US increased by 33%, after a growth of just 10% in the decade before that. The social legislation and expanding scope of government regulations and judicial rulings are responsible for the increase in the number of lawyers.
