For many accountants, their experience taught them that almost all customers want reassurance. They want to feel that you are listening to them and you are there to really help them. They will pay for your fee if they know that you care for their well-being and you respond to their questions.
Another tip is to follow up with them. There was a story of a customer who is very impressed with the accountants of a particular accounting firm after meeting them – even if he has not seen the principal. It was found out later that the principal rung him the next day and inquired whether he has been taken cared of. Now the firm has a customer for life.
