For any business, accounting is the lifeblood of the company for it aids management on the overall performance on the business from the financial stand-point. All businesses have to manage their resources especially their cash flow due to the many economic conditions that can turn ugly in an instant. Just like last year’s sub-prime lending financial crisis, these factors should have been determined ahead of time if the proper check and balance systems in accounting in place. With the revelation of several flaws in the financial accounting systems of many sub-prime lending firms, the US has reformed laws and adjusted them to account for the many loopholes that existed before the economic bubble burst. Today, from book keeping to accounting, all major procedures and measures are being reviewed and monitored by the federal government to prevent such financial disasters from ever happening again.
